illi 2018 'Intensive Course' @ The University of Oklahoma - October 11 - 16, 2018

Course Description

The illi Intensive Course - IC is the most comprehensive training for landscape lighting design available in the industry today.

This 5 day/evening class was created in 2010 by internationally acclaimed lighting designer Janet Lennox Moyer and is instructed by illi's dedicated mentor team of 15 professional lighting designers and installers. Our student (18) to mentor (16) ratio, nearly one to one, is low to focus on each student's learning.  Our mentors will guide you through a series of lectures, demonstrations, and intensive hands-on field work; we begin classes at 8:15 a.m. and return to the hotel at 10:30 p.m.  Our immense collection of lighting equipment from all major lighting manufacturers will allow you to explore landscape lighting intensively and creatively.

Your learning experience is centered on creation of a landscape lighting design.  Each group of six will be mentored by a team of three professional landscape lighting designers and will have access to the largest assortment of landscape lighting equipment in the world.  Internationally renowned lighting designer, Janet Lennox Moyer will personally advise and critique your group design.  On the final evening, your team will present your project to Jan, your mentor team, and the invited public.

Upon course completion you will have the capability to design, specify, and install beautiful landscape lighting projects.  You will know the techniques of design graphics, record documentation, low-voltage lighting system installation, and proper maintenance procedures to insure the longevity and beauty of your clients' landscape lighting systems.
