Our Mission

The International Landscape Lighting Institute (illi) informs, educates and promotes the art and technology of landscape lighting, allowing people to safely and securely navigate in the dark, while providing a beautiful nighttime environment.

Our Vision

When we design landscape lighting, we reveal a whole new world - elements in a garden are seen in a new way.  Plantings, structures, art and water take on new dimensions and appearances.  Lighting gives us back a primordial visual connection to nature, which is otherwise lost in the darkness.  We see the seasons unfold through our windows and receive comfort in the night.
